MAC Address Vendor Lookup
Vendor
-
This lookup covers a curated list of common vendors only — it is not a complete IEEE OUI database.
How to use this MAC vendor lookup
- Type or paste a MAC address (like 00:1A:2B:3C:4D:5E).
- The manufacturer's name appears instantly if it's in the curated list.
- Useful for identifying unknown devices on your network.
How does vendor lookup work?
The first 3 bytes of a MAC address (called the OUI, Organizationally Unique Identifier) are officially registered to a specific manufacturer by the IEEE, allowing devices to be traced back to their maker.
Why doesn't it recognize my device's vendor?
This tool uses a small curated list, not the full IEEE database of tens of thousands of registered vendors — many manufacturers simply aren't included yet.
Can a MAC address be faked?
Yes, MAC addresses can be manually changed ("spoofed") in software, so a vendor match isn't a guaranteed proof of a device's real manufacturer.
