MAC Address Generator
How to use this MAC address generator
- Choose how many addresses you need and an optional prefix.
- Click "Generate" to create random MAC addresses instantly.
- Use them for testing, virtualization, or lab network configurations.
What is a MAC address prefix?
The first 3 bytes of a MAC address (the OUI) are officially assigned to a manufacturer by the IEEE. Setting a custom prefix here lets you simulate addresses from a specific vendor for testing purposes.
Are these MAC addresses guaranteed to be unique?
They're randomly generated using cryptographically secure randomness, making collisions extremely unlikely, but they aren't officially registered or reserved — don't rely on them for production hardware identification.
Can I use a generated MAC address on real hardware?
Many network adapters support manually overriding their MAC address for testing, but this is typically only appropriate in isolated lab or virtualization environments, not production networks.
